5 Days of creating our future and working out where to for Berrigan Shire in 2022 and Beyond?
Where do we want to go?
When you plan a holiday or a trip you take the time to think about where you want to go and how you are going to get there. If you do not plan where you want to go sometimes you end up on the other side of the freeway, in the wrong lane of traffic and have a 20 kilometre detour. Berrigan Shire 2022 and Beyond is a five day program where we are going to work out where we want the Shire and its towns to be in 2022 and Beyond and what we have to do to get there.
Once we have agreed upon our preferred future and the role to be played by individuals, community groups, and other government agencies, and Council we will be able to meet our current challenges and make the most of our opportunities.
The Berrigan Shire Council is facilitating the program and we are committed to the process and the preferred future selected by our communities. This program will be used to shape the future of the Berrigan Shire.
So where do we want to be in 2022? How can we agree for our four towns and rural community upon a preferred future for the Shire and its communities? This program provides a number of opportunities for you to be involved. You can log onto the Shire’s website for information about ‘possible futures’, complete a pre-consultation survey and encourage your friends and families to do so, you can express an interest in attending our Future’s Conference, send a photo about what you value about the Berrigan Shire or the town in which you live, attend a town planning forum or tell us your thoughts and ideas
Berrigan 2022 and Beyond is a great opportunity to learn more about your community, community facilities and services and the issues we face going forward.
