Concrete Finisher

Council is seeking applications for the position of concrete finisher.

The main purpose of this role:

  • Undertake and direct concrete and paving works
  • Arrange for materials and ensure effective allocation of resources
  • Ensure safety in the workplace
  • Maintain costing sheets
  • Operate plant and vehicles in a safe, efficient and proficient way
  • To set up Traffic Control Plans in accordance with RMS regulations

Applicants should hold a current Class C drivers licence and must possess basic literacy and numeracy skills.  Education to year 10 is desirable, as is suitable experience in related work.

Salary is Band 6 Entry Level starting at $47673.96 per annum plus 9.5% superannuation.

Position Description: Concrete Finisher

Assets & Operations Manager

An experienced manager with an engineering background is sought by Berrigan Shire for its senior management position of Assets & Operations Manager.

The Assets & Operations Manager is responsible for organising and carrying out engineering works, in meeting Council’s agreed works plan and completing other engineering tasks as directed by the Engineering Services Manager.

The successful applicant for this full-time position will desirably have a formal qualification in civil engineering, proven achievement in a relevant managerial role.

The position requires a high level of communications, negotiation and people management skills.  Commitment to continuous improvement, change management and acumen towards commercially-orientated and effective customer service delivery will be attributes demonstrated by the successful candidate.

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Band 21 of the Council’s Salary Policy with a range of $104,659 to $114,075 plus 9.5% superannuation may be taken as a guide, dependent upon qualifications and experience.  Salary is inclusive of the civil liability allowance.

 

A motor vehicle for official and private use will be available, subject to council’s “Private Use of Council Vehicles” policy.
