Heritage Strategy and Studies

Heritage is a community asset and Berrigan Shire works with owners and developers to preserve these assets.

The LOCAL HERITAGE FUND has been established by Berrigan Shire Council with the aid of a grant from the NSW Heritage Office, to assist and encourage heritage conservation work on privately owned properties.

Application forms and additional information regarding suitable projects for funding are available from the Councils Office.

Berrigan Shire Council is in the process of completing a “Community Based Heritage Study” and inventory of significant buildings throughout the Shire.

Further detail may be obtained by contacting the Councils Part-Time Heritage Advisor, Susan Appleyard.
