Zoning & Development Controls
All land in Berrigan Shire is subject to zoning and development controls which have been prepared in accordance with the NSW Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Berrigan Local Environmental Plan 1992.
Zoning and development controls provide clear guidelines regarding the types of development that may occur. They are generally prepared by Council with input from State Government Departments and the community.
Development Control Plans are prepared, adopted and approved by Council.
