Ask a local librarian
In addition to the State Library of NSW service, the Berrigan Shire libraries offer a local version of this research request service. If your research question is about local information, please use this form. For more general research enquiries, please use the State Library service.
Please complete the attached form. Try to provide as many details as you can. The more you tell us, the easier it is for us to respond to your query. We will reply to your request as soon as possible. If your request requires further research, we will notify you about a likely response time.
Friends of the Library
Friends of the Library are an active support group for the Library who raise funds and voluntarily assist with book covering, other support services and raise funds toward new purchases.
Friends of the Library also offer a 'Housebound Service' to library members in Tocumwal who are unable to visit their branch.
Please contact your local library Officer for more information or Library Manager Anne Nevins on (03) 5888 5181 or annen@berriganshire.nsw.gov.au
Storytime for Preschoolers
Storytime is held at each library every week at 10.30am with stories and activities for 3-5 year olds.
'Knit In' at the Libraries
Knit-In is a fantastic community event, creating colourful wraps for communities in need around the world. All participants are invited to the library once a week to knit squares and socialise and the Library provides a cuppa. Get started - if you have a spare yarn, are handy with a pair of knitting needles, a crochet hook or you have always wanted to learn how - join one of the 'Knit-in' Groups!
Knit in is held from 10am to 11am on the following days:
Tuesday - Berrigan and Tocumwal,
Wednesday - Barooga,
Friday - Finley.
For further details, please contact Jenny at the Berrigan Library on (03) 5888 5180.
