Lost Pet Finders – Act quickly, and get help
Lost Pet Finders Pet Alert is new to Australia and is an effective means of getting many eyes and ears looking for your lost pet. Responses from the public are very helpful with listeners divulging the whereabouts of the pet, giving leads, promising to search properties and even volunteering their services to search. This method is an extremely direct way of capturing the attention of the public regarding your pet. Results may not occur immediately, but hundreds of people can be aware of your pet’s disappearance, and may be able to assist in its retrieval.
The most innovative aspect of The Lost Pet Finders is our neighbourhood canvassing system. Based on the same principle as door knocking, you simply target the area your pet went missing from and conduct a telephone canvas of the area. For a few cents a call, a message that describes your lost pet will be heard by potentially hunderds of people. This method allows you to rapidly gain valuable information on the pet’s whereabouts, or possible sightings, that you are able to investigate. Further, it informs and alerts numerous people to be on the lookout, prompts listeners to return the pet or to report neighbours. It also garners support from the people of the neighbourhood to assist you in your quest.
The Pet Alert works in conjunction with our web site photo and database service with listeners being directed to the site to look at the lost pet’s likeness. Being able to visualise the animal makes a difference in identifying a pet as descriptions often vary significantly, and this lessens the possibility of false identification.
The second feature of the Pet Alert is to notify our Pet Network members via email and SMS. Similar to the Governments SMS flood alert, your pets dissapearence will be broadcast to our members within seconds of issuing the alert.
