On Public Exhibition

Berrigan Shire Council regularly places various documents and development applications "On Exhibition" for public comment. All current "On Exhibition" items are located below or can be viewed at Council’s Administration Office – 56 Chanter Street, Berrigan before 5.00pm on the document's closing date.

If you would like to make a submission in relation to an "On Exhibition" document this needs to be done prior to the document's closing date (noted below) and can be done in writing, addressed to the General Manager:

DRAFT RESOURCING STRATEGY 2019–2029, REVIEWED DELIVERY PROGRAM 2017–2021, AND DRAFT ANNUAL OPERATIONAL PLAN 2019–2020

The Council has adopted for public exhibition for 28-days and comments its:

  • Draft Resourcing Strategy 2019 – 2029;
  • Reviewed Delivery Program 2017 – 2021; and
  • Draft Annual Operational Plan 2019 – 2020;

Draft Annual Operational Plan 2019 - 2020

The Draft Resourcing Strategy 2019 – 2029 identifies the Council’s long-term financial, asset management and human resourcing requirements.  The Reviewed Delivery Program 2017 – 2021 sets out the Council’s program for the next two years inclusive of its 4-year capital works program.  The Draft Annual Operational Plan 2019 – 2020 includes the Council’s annual budget, fees and charges and statement of its revenue and rating policies.

Copies of the Draft Resourcing Strategy 2019 – 2029, the Reviewed Delivery Program 2017 – 2021, and the Draft Annual Operational Plan 2019 – 2020 may be viewed on Council’s website www.berriganshire.nsw.gov.au.  Copies are also available from the Council’s office and available at the Barooga, Finley, and Tocumwal libraries for inspection by residents.

Submissions commenting on the above plans must be received by 5:00 pm Thursday 13 June, 2019 and will be considered by the Council at its meeting to be held Wednesday 19 June, 2019.

DRAFT POLICY FOR OUTDOOR DINING AND FOOTPATH TRADING

The Council has prepared a Draft Policy for Outdoor Dining and Footpath Trading.  The community is invited to consider the Draft Policy and provide comments to Council on its content prior to it being further considered by Council for adoption.

Copies of the Draft Policy may be viewed on Council’s website www.berriganshire.nsw.gov.au .  Copies are also available from the Council’s office.

Submissions commenting on the above policy must be received by 5:00 pm Friday 28 June, 2019 and will be considered by the Council at its meeting to be held Wednesday 17 July, 2019.

TELEVISION RECEPTION REPORT RECEIVED FROM ACMA

Council staff have been communicating with many bodies regarding the weak television broadcast signal in Berrigan Shire, including the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) who is the body responsible for regulating broadcast signals in Australia. ACMA have acknowledged that there is a problem and have released a fact sheet on the topic.
