Development and how the Council can help

Berrigan Shire has an Economic Development Unit with a dedicated Officer to assist existing businesses

  • develop to their full potential
  • help identify business needs and implement programs to address them
  • take a lead role in supporting business and economic opportunities

New businesses or developers can access the Economic Development Unit

  • as a point of contact for an enquiry
  • provide contact details of organisations or government departments that may be of assistance
  • advocate on behalf of developers and agencies to assist progress of development opportunities
  • act as a facilitator and initiator for economic development proposals

In some instances we may even act as an advocate for applicants or actively identify and pursue economic development opportunities on their behalf.

Council can also assist business with

  • information on changing market conditions
  • expansion or re-establishing a business
  • leaving the Shire

Berrigan Shire will offer all the help you need regardless of whether you are local, interstate or overseas, a small business person, a manufacturer, property developer or involved in agribusiness.
