Berrigan Shire Council

Tenders & Quotes

Berrigan Shire Council operates an electronic system for tendering and quotations. This has been designed to improve the speed, efficiency & fairness of the tender process for the Council and its suppliers.

Individuals and organisations wishing to supply goods and services to the Council are required to comply with the Council's statement of Business Ethics. See below for a copy of the statement or download a PDF version here.

Tenders and Quotes will be listed below when open to the public.  If there are currently no listings present then there are no tenders or quotes open to the public.

The canvassing of Councillors and/or senior staff will disqualify a tender.

Local Supplier Engagement - via Vendorpanel

Berrigan Shire Council is now using VendorPanel to simplify the way Council sends Quotes to Local Suppliers.

VendorPanel is a web based eProcurement system used by hundreds of organisations to increase transparency and compliance in quote based purchasing from approved suppliers.

Getting Set-up on VendorPanel

The Council has set up their relevant supplier lists (Concreters; Electrical; Painting; Plant Hire; Plumbing; Quarry Products and Tree Removalists), if you wish to participate you can register via our website www.berriganshire.nsw.gov.au selecting the panel/s your business applies to. Contact the Support Officer via email with the following:
• Company Name

Responding to Council requests

When a new relevant request is created, you’ll be sent an email asking you to login to VendorPanel to view the request. You can then use the Q&A functionality to clarify the requirements, and respond using the easy to follow response wizard.

Response Wizard

Submitting responses is done via a simple to use Response Wizard, that steps you through the process of creating a response to the Council request. You can type in the details of your response, or attach a response document. When you have submitted a response, you will receive an email confirming your submission. Additionally, there is a record of all the responses you have previously submitted.

Finley Saleyards - Call for Proposals

Berrigan Shire Council (Council) is calling for proposals for either the purchase or lease of Finley Saleyards.

The Finley Saleyards presents an opportunity for a future owner or lessee to take advantage of the facility’s reputation as a selling centre for both cattle and sheep and leverage the existing infrastructure and operations to grow throughput and benefit from continued consolidation in the saleyards sector.

The facility is located in an ideal position close to the intersection of the Riverina and Newell Highways in a region known as a hub for breeding, backgrounding and fattening.

The Finley Saleyards have capacity for throughput as high as 3,000 cattle and up to 10,000 sheep in a single sale.

Proposals open on 9 March 2023 and close on 13 April 2023. An online industry briefing will be held in the week commencing 13 March 2023.

Further information on the proposal, contact Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Matt Hansen at the Council Administration Office.
