Works & Projects in the Berrigan Shire

The Berrigan Shire Council and associated community groups will hope to deliver a much needed upgrade and refurbishment to the Collie Street Park located at 2-6 Golf Course Road, Barooga adjacent to the Barooga Library.

This project consists of a renewal component and an upgrade component for the Berrigan Recreation Reserves Netball Courts, Storage Shed and Spectators Shelter.

This project consists of the installation of a new 4x2 metre electronic scoreboard and installation of replacement scoreboard on timekeepers box.

Design and Construction to upgrade the ancillary facilities at the Berrigan War Memorial Swimming Pool

The project is broken into four components: Redevelopment of Hayes Park, Berrigan. Redevelopment of Apex Park, Berrigan. Construction of a section of Scoullar St, Finley. Replacement of the amenities and kiosk building at Finley War Memorial Swimming Pool, Finley.

The Berrigan Shire Council and associated community groups will deliver a much needed upgrade and refurbishment to the current change rooms and kitchen at the sporting facility located at Finley Showgrounds Sporting Complex, Finley.

The Berrigan Shire Council will remove the existing skate park and replace it with a modern concrete facility with improved skatability.

The reconstruction of Strathvale Road and intersection upgrade component for the Berrigan Jerilderie Road and the Berrigan Oaklands Road.

Council will be designing and constructing the extension and refurbishment of the existing Tocumwal Library and attached public toilets.

All projects are located at the Tocumwal Recreation Reserve and will upgrade existing facilities used by cricket club, netball club and the Mild to Wild Hot Rod Club.

Berrigan Shire Council is looking to construct a network of pathways to link the Tocumwal town centre and foreshore, the attractions of Tocumwal such as the Golf Course and river beaches and the accommodation providers such as the motels, caravan parks and bed and breakfast inns.

Improve safety at the Tocumwal Aerodrome for aircraft and operators of aircraft and elimination of runway hazards posed by wildlife (primarily kangaroos)
