Tocumwal Murray River Experience

The Tocumwal Murray River Experience is a 3.2 million dollar staged development investing in the infrastructure needed to grow the regional visitor economy of southern New South Wales and drive jobs growth.  The  re-vitalisation of the Tocumwal Foreshore Reserve adjacent the iconic Murray River will attract many visitors and tourists to the area.   The redevelopment includes in the first stage the construction of a Splash Park and associated Amenities Block.  The second stage of development includes the Street Scape and Levee works with associated fishing platforms and walking trails. The third stage of development is the construction of a new riverview Restaurant / Cafe.  The fourth stage is the development of a new Town Square.

Splash Park and Amenities Block – Reactivating the Reserve and River precinct to drive growth in the visitor economy consistent with the development of Tocumwal as a Murray River Destination
Street Scape Works – needed to accommodate siting of a Splash Park and Play Space and associated parking, retention of existing use of the site for the Tocumwal Foreshore Market.
Levee Works – works needed to address existing engineering issues related to levee maintenance and functioning. The scope of works includes increasing all abilities access to the River with a spine path as part of these works.
A project aimed at revitalising the Visitor Economy and Re-Connect the River to Town – through the development of a waterfront dining experience adjacent to the River.
