NO MERGER FOR BERRIGAN SHIRE
Berrigan Shire Council was this afternoon formally informed by the Minister for Local Government that the proposed merger with the southern half of Jerilderie Shire will NOT be proceeding.
This decision is welcome and provides certainty for the Council and the community to move forward.
