Berrigan Shire Council is governed by eight elected members of Council. Councillors provide leadership and establish policy and strategic direction for the organisation, and the future of the Berrigan Shire Council.

There are no wards or ridings in Berrigan Shire Council. The eight Councillors are elected to represent the interests of all ratepayers and residents, to provide leadership and guidance to the community, and to encourage communication between Council and the community.

  • ProfileIn hindsight, the media was the tipping point that made me run for Council. I was consuming all this great material around Women in politics; I had a real lightbulb moment and thought... 'well, stop agreeing with the need for women in politics and do something'.
