Green Waste Disposal Vouchers

Council has a green waste disposal initiative providing households in the Berrigan Shire the opportunity to dispose of up to 1 cubic meter at a time of domestic green waste for free at the waste facilities. 

2025/2026 Vouchers will be issued to eligible properties with your annual rates notice each financial year. Each properties receives THREE (3) Green Waste Disposal Vouchers. 
  • Eligible properties only: RESIDENTIAL with an organics bin service.
  • Unfortunately lost, stolen, misplaced or unused vouchers cannot be replaced
  • Voucher/s are not transferable or redeemable for cash
  • Voucher/s can be redeemed by the property owner, tenant or their selected garden contractor 
  • Use of voucher/s will be recorded under the registered property address in Council’s waste management system
  • Vouchers must be redeemed by close of business, Monday 30 June 2026.
  • Waste facility staff have the final say and determination as to the eligiblity of loads, materials and volume of waste. No negotiation will be entered into. Excess waste will be charged as per Council's fees and charges.
