Our Biosecurity Team encourages any person who has land to be aware of their obligations responsibilities as the occupier of that land and to take all reasonable and effective measures to remove biosecurity weeds from their property.
Our Team is committed to reducing the impact of weeds through the implementation of the Weeds Action Plan (WAP), every homeowner, landowner, occupier or persons(s) leasing or renting property must be aware of their obligations and responsibilities to control biosecurity weeds.

As part of a state-wide biosecurity surveillance program, the Berrigan Shire Biosecurity team will be conducting inspections to detect and manage new incursions of Tropical soda apple (Solanum viarum), a highly invasive and aggressive weed that poses a significant threat to our region's pastures, natural ecosystems, and agricultural productivity.
