Are you passionate about sustainable infrastructure and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Utility Engineer to play a key role in the management and delivery of essential services across water, sewer, and waste operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Collating and analysing operational data for reporting and compliance
- Supporting licensing and regulatory requirements
- Providing development advice and technical input
- Managing procurement and minor capital works projects
- Overseeing the operations and maintenance of treatment plant, reservoirs, dams, pump stations, telemetry systems, and distribution networks.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or other such qualification, resulting in admission to Membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. Applicants without a Degree but with extensive works management experience in the operations of Water Treatment Plants will be considered for this position
- 3 to 6 years’ experience within the water industry or Local Water Utilities (LWU).
- General understanding on project management and contract management
- A high level of written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively and in harmony with other people.
- General Induction Construction Work in NSW (White card)
- Class C Driver's Licence and ability to maintain

This is a full-time position classified at Grade K, Entry Level under Council’s current salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from $97,806.98 & $110,081.97, plus 12% statutory superannuation and a 70-hour 9-day fortnight. Conditions are in accordance with Local Government (State) Award 2023.
