Volunteer Committees
Without volunteers, Berrigan Shire Council would not be able to deliver the exceptional services enjoyed by our residents. Their assistance in various areas, such as recreation reserves, public halls, swimming pools and parks and gardens, is invaluable in maintaining and improving the quality of these facilities for our residents.
The involvement of our volunteers through committees established under Section 355 of the Local Government Act 1993 not only allows them to take part in maintaining and operating these services and facilities, but also to have a voice in the decision-making process.
