Council will be conducting works to reconstruct Barooga Cobram Road, between Peoples Bridge and Bullanginya Bridge from 15th April 2024, and scheduled for completion before the end of May, weather permitting.
Town Beach will be closed for the installation of greywater services from 1st May 2024 for approximately 3 weeks depending on works.
The Berrigan Shire Council is a small rural community with a population exceeding 8,500. It is situated on the NSW/Victorian border and encompasses the four towns of Barooga, Berrigan, Finley and Tocumwal. Bordered by The Murray River, lush eucalyptus bushlands and vast agricultural fields, whilst also boasting some of the most magnificent sandy river inland beaches that Australia has to offer. The north of the Shire is predominantly agricultural with dry and irrigated farming ranging from grain, beef, sheep, orchards and vegetable crops, dairy and vineyards.
