Battery Disposal Update

Due to fire and explosion risks linked to battery collection and storage, Council will no longer accept batteries at our libraries.
You can safely dispose of household batteries at these locations during standard opening hours:
�� Tocumwal Transfer Station
�� Finley Recycle Centre
�� Berrigan Landfill
For Barooga residents – please use any of the locations above, or drop batteries at Coles or Woolworths in Cobram.
�� Safety tip: Tape the terminals with a non-conductive tape such as clear sticky tape before disposal.
�� Important: Putting batteries in your kerbside bins is a serious safety risk for truck drivers and landfill site operators.
