Berrigan Shire Council is pleased to announce three key projects have been funded under the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF).

The SCCF aims to boost the wellbeing of communities in regional areas by providing new or upgraded social and sporting infrastructure, or community programs that have strong local support.

The successful projects are:

  • Removing the overhead powerlines and placing underground in Chanter Street, Berrigan.
  • Replacement of the Barooga cricket practice facility.
  • Installation of solar powered lighting for shared pathway on Golf Course Road, Barooga.

Mayor Cr. Matthew Hannan said “We appreciate the support provided by the NSW Government for these projects and we are very excited to start on delivery. Each project will make our community a better place. Our aim is to have all three projects complete by 2024.”
