Planning Proposals

A planning proposal is a request to amend the planning controls and/or zoning of land/site within a Local Environmental Plan (LEP).

Pre-lodgement meeting

A meeting with a member of the Development Services Team ensures your application contains all the relevant information required to lodge a Request to amend the LEP. We may ask you to provide additional information before lodging with the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) on the NSW Planning Portal. Once lodged with the DPIE you may be asked to undertake investigative studies and/or provide additional information to further assess your request before going on public exhibition.

Disclosure of political donations

A Political Donation and Gift Disclosure Statement must accompany the written request to Council to initiate the making of a Local Environmental Plan. Under s147 of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, all relevant political donations and gifts must be disclosed by individuals or entities with a relevant financial interest when a planning application is made.
