Customer Service Officer – (Part-Time)  Library Services and Visitor Information Centre 

Join Our Team as a Part-Time Customer Service Officer!

Council is seeking applications for the position of Part-Time Customer Service Officers encompassing Library Services and Visitor Information Centre.  

The Customer Service Officer will deliver front-line customer services across Council’s four libraries of Berrigan, Finley, Tocumwal and Barooga and the accredited Visitor Information Centre at Tocumwal. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Administer Council’s systems through recording and data entry.

• Maintain the library, and the library collection to a high standard, including minor book repairs.

• Co-ordinate library activities for the wider community, to encourage patronage.

• Assist clients to access resources and information services.

• Perform general administrative tasks including book sales, cash receipting, responding to general enquiries, and provide outreach services for Council.

• Assist visitors with information on accommodation and attractions in the region.

• Update social media as required.

• Participate as part of the Customer Experience team to deliver friendly and helpful customer service to residents, ratepayers and other Council stakeholders.

• Purchase, order and receipt materials and services on behalf of Council, with approval from authorised officers and in accordance with Councils procurement procedures.

What You’ll Need:

• Competent computer use – Office Suite and email

• Familiar with Social Media

• Australian Class C Drivers Licence and ability to maintain

• Working with Children Check

• Police Check (working with Seniors)

• First Aid (Apply First Aid level)

This position is classified at Grade B, Entry Level under Council’s salary structure with a salary range based on qualifications and experience from $60,215.06 to $67,772.07 per annum plus 12% statutory superannuation. Conditions are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
