Rural Land Use Survey

Within our rural land, there is potential for a multitude of functions, including productive agriculture, forestry, natural resource extraction, environmental conservation, some housing and tourism opportunities. This presents many opportunities, but without careful management can also lead to conflict. A Rural Land Use Strategy is proposed to provide Council with a coordinated approach to managing and planning for our rural land, as well as guide future changes to Council’s planning controls.

To assist Council in the preparation of the strategy, we are seeking the communities feedback about their views of rural land within our shire. We want to hear what you think. We're interested in knowing what you love about our rural areas and what you think needs to be protected.

Below is a survey that will assist Council in understanding the communities’ views.
