Planning Proposal

Planning Proposal (PP) proposes to amend the Berrigan Local Environmental Plan 2013 (LEP) and reclassify the following Council-owned land in Tocumwal, from ‘community’ land to ‘operational’ land:

  1. ROAD RESERVE EXTENDING BETWEEN JERSEY STREET & WORES ROAD, TOCUMWAL NSW 2714 (Lot 1/-/DP1307988); and
  2. CORNER OF BAROOGA STREET & MURRAY STREET, TOCUMWAL NSW 2714 (Lot 11/-/DP1047241; Lots 1 & 2/-/DP511822; Lot 1/-/DP101725)

The Local Government Act (section 29) requires Council to hold a Public Hearing when reclassifying public land from ‘community’ land to ‘operational’ land.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to provide the community an opportunity to expand on written submissions and discuss issues with an independent parson, in a public forum.

Council Officers and an independent Chair will be facilitating a Public Hearing at Tocumwal Library at 3pm on Tuesday 7 July 2026.
